Regardless, there is plenty of space, plus there are pockets all around in case you need more granular organization. One tradeoff with this clamshell opening is that you need to have the bag laid down to open it. This, in turn, makes it tricky to access the front compartment. Not really a huge deal; it just means we have to access the front and main compartments independently and not at the same time. You can also put it inside the zippered pocket at the front side of the compartment. However, this pocket is really more for accessories like dongles, adapters, thumb drives, and, yes, memory cards.

The nylon on the straps is patched and they probably should be replaced, but the pack itself is “better than new”.
